and maintaining it (that's why I asked her if she would be interested

Fansite") and I'm sure she will continue to provide
the most up to date and accurate information regarding my activities
as well as other points of interest for you the fans.

 As reported on trekmovie.com (on 17th June), Gil visited Retro Films Studio and met Bobby Rice the new Internet Buck Rogers (see left) and 'handed over the baton' so to speak. Kinda like 30 years ago when Buster Crabbe met the then new Buck Rogers.
But wait that is not all; Gil is to join the cast of the new Buck Rogers web series scheduled to be online in 2010; visit trekmovie.com for the full article.

This has made me laugh. I'd like to thank Talon Drawn for sending me the Buck Rogers 'electronic puzzle' but also I'm concerned about you mate. This puzzle needs to carry a warning, Why? Because Talon has swopped Erin's face for mine. Click here and brace yourself, you'll have nightmares for years to come!

| Happy 30th Anniversary Buck! (1979-2009) |

Blimey, 30 years! Alas it is true; it was back on this day in 1979 that audiences first saw Gil strut his stuff as Buck Rogers, disco dancing his way around the 25th Century (accompanied by beautiful ladies of course), saving the Earth from certain doom. Bizarrely, the 25th Century had what can only be described as a tad of a 1970's fashion revival so it was perfectly fine for Buck to go around with his shirt open down to his navel, wear flares and have shirt collars big enough to put a Boeing 747's wings to shame and this fashion revival wasn't exclusive to Earth; just like Colonel Deering, Princess Ardala of the Draconian Realm sported a fetching 'Fawcett Flick' hair do. Far out!
But I totally digress folks. It is with fondness (of the TV show that had the audacity to have a phallic symbol during primetime TV and yes Twiki we're talking about you pal), that I say "Happy 30th Anniversary to our disco dancing Buck".

 Added screen caps of the additional scenes that were added to the Buck Rogers movie when it became the TV series pilot episode entitled Awakening. The quality of the TV movie screen caps are not as 'crisp and clear' as the others because I've taken them off VHS.

Check out the News page for info regarding a new Buck Rogers comic book series from Dynamite; the series is to be launched in May this year.
Also on the News page there's info about a letter writing campaign for a Blu-ray release of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979). Thanks to 'luckybuck' for the info regarding his letter campaign and nice one to Scott for starting the 'BR Blu-ray release thread' on the scifi.com Forum.

Just a few little additions for this update. I've added a few more bits of Buck Rogers TV/movie trivia to the Behind the Scenes page and added the SyFy Radio interview with Gil and Erin (as an external link entitled 'Buck Rogers Special') to the Interviews page.
Keep checking the News page for any updates regarding the remake of the 1983 movie Beer Drinkers in Space and movie Dire Wolf, both of which Gil is to star.

 It's Gil's 66th Birthday on the 23rd January! Happy Birthday to Gil for Friday. Also just a reminder that on the 23rd is the start of Phoenix Comicon, Gil and Erin are scheduled to be in attendance; so fans lucky enough to be there can say "Happy Birthday" to Gil in person.
For those not able to attend the convention, you can send Gil a BDay message via his Fan Mail address (Gil does his best to read all fan mail) or you can sign the Guestbook.

Happy New Year! So here we are already, the year in which our Buck will celebrate it's 30th anniversary. I've started saying our Buck because there's a few reasons to do so but mainly because there are plans for a new Buck Rogers movie (see the News page). But forget about the impending 'new' Buck for a moment, indulge in some nostalgia of '79; the disco dancing, the spandex, the flares, the big collars and that was just Buck. BTW, the date for the 30th Anniversary is 30th March.
Also, Gil's documentary from 2007 entitled Action Hero Makeover is on the US Discovery Health channel again. If you missed it yesterday it's scheduled to be shown again on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th January.

For a bit of convenience the text on the Banner at the top of every page is now 'clickable'; it's a link back to the Home page. Wish I'd done that earlier. D'oh!
Well it's that time of year again; Christmas has come around far too quickly for my liking and it's nearly time to say goodbye to 2008. So this is the part where I say a big thank you to everyone who has sent me convention photos or info, and to those who have just visited the website; thanks for dropping by, it's very much appreciated.

I've added a photo taken from Nuclear Hurricane (2007, aka Meltdown), it was the first time that Gil and Erin had acted together since Buck Rogers.
Also I've added a scene from E.A.R.T.H. Force (1990) to the Video Clips page and two more Press Photos from 'our' Buck Rogers.

I thought it fitting that for this update to add screen caps from the first season Buck Rogers episode Olympiad. In this episode Buck has been invited to the interplanetary Olympics of 2492; I'm wondering what the opening ceremony would be like.
Also, Gil has a new contact address for fans; it can be found on the Contact page. Just a polite notice that if you are writing to Gil for a signed photo, could you please include a SAE (approximately 10x8) and which will cover the postage for the photo.

Happy Anniversary Captain Rogers! Buck Rogers is celebrating 80 years this month, his first adventure was in August 1928 in an issue of Amazing
Stories under the name of Anthony Rogers. See Buck Rogers Info and for even more in depth info' on Buck Rogers see Buck's Wikipedia Page
We have had many incarnations of Buck Rogers over the years in comics, radio shows, cinema and TV; and lets not forget the Buck Rogers inspired cartoon Duck Dodgers (and could we be so bold as to include Bucky O'Hare). There's talk of a new Buck hitting our screens in the near future and so it seems that the future is looking bright for Buck and that a new generation will experience the original space hero.
